After her mother's death, aimless recent graduate Angelica Graham learns she has an aunt who has been in care since she was brain damaged in a mysterious car crash in 1966. Convinced that her Aunt Grace is fully aware but locked inside a helpless body, Angelica tries to discover what really happened to her.

While visiting the hospital where Grace once worked as a nurse, Angelica has one of the strange hallucinations she's been experiencing since her mother's funeral.
